[OAUGNetDBA]-Fw: using staged APPL_TOP for 11.5.9 to 11.5.10 CU2 upgrade

 I am trying to reduce downtime for my production 11.5.9 instance when we 
upgrade to 11.5.10 CU2.
I am following note  242480.1 "Using a Staged Applications System to 
reduce patching downtime"
has anyone followed this method?
Before you created the staged system , besides applying AD.I patch and 
3180164 , did you perform any of the other preinstall steps in your 
production system?
