[OAUGNetDBA]-Re: 5 day 11.5.10 upgrade (why so long?)

I also in the midding of testing 11.5.10.2 upgrade.  My 3480000 took
around 54 hours in 2 processers, single tier 11.5.9 TEST instance.  I
also looking for way to speed it up since I also have other "Stuff" to
upgrade.  Anyway, I found a few thing that can improve the speed and may
help you.

1) check out patch 2555668.  This patch is recommended to speed up the
3480000
2) Note 342818.1 - Ideally patch 2555668: "DEPOT REPAIR SHIPMENT UPDATE
CONCURRENT PROGRAM HAS BEEN RUNNING FOR OVER 13 HRS" should be applied
prior to the upgrade to 11.5.10.2. That way the problem is avoided.....
3) There are few workers are running slow - csdmig?.sql in my case And
they failed after running a while.  So I decide to fix the data first
before start the 3480000.. Rather than waste time to let it run, failed
then restart the workers
4) Note id 225165.1 Patching Best Practices and Reducing Downtime.  
5) Staging the Appl_top

Maybe you can check the adworker.log to see any special step took a LONG
time.  If there is any, report to Oracle support or search Metalink.
Maybe they have a way to speed thing up.  Or you can even check on the
sql itself.  To see what is trying to do and tune it too.
