Stephanie, The Xserver (headless Xserver) must be running on the Solaris server with a display number. In my env. I have Xvfb ( running with/as display number 1 (DISPLAY=hostname:1.0). So, in your startup script, make sure your DISPLAY number is the same as the one running on the Sun server. $ ps -ef|grep Xsun applmgr 259 1 0 Nov 02 ? 532:08 /usr/openwin/bin/Xsun :1 +nkeyboard +nmouse -dev vfb -screen 0 1280x1024x8 -fbd $ env|grep DISPLAY DISPLAY=sworks:1.0 Tom --- Stephanie Erbrecht <stephanie.erbrecht@ansys.com> wrote: > We are trying to get a report to produce a file > in .pdf format to be > used by another printing tool*.
