We have a problem where a day was missed in the definition of a calendar, but it was not caught before the period was put into use. Now we want to create a consolidation book using the same calendar as the operational book, but we are stuck; the new book won't let us attach a calendar that is not correct (missing a day), and the system won't let us correct the calendar because the periods are already in use. Oracle's primary suggestion is to create an adjusting period to pick up the extra day, however, this is not possible as the period type has already been defined as 12 periods; a 13th adjusting period cannot be created. We are looking for ANY suggestions to get around this problem. We are not keen on the idea of creating a new calendar for the consolidation book and leaving a solution that will forever require both calendars be maintained.
