One of your associates posted the same question this morning. Oracle has an eBS module called "e-Records" that is supposed to handle this sort of requirement. It is intended to help companies meet the GMP requirements spelled out in 21 CFR part 11. I don't know a lot about it -- it may only work in Process Manufacturing -- but that is where I would start looking. If that doesn't pan out, I'd try to come up with a solution involving Oracle Quality. There are already hooks in with receiving where the receiving screen will prompt and require quality plan attributes to be entered. Some of my former associates are really big into this sort of thing -- 21 CFR 11 validation, etc. If you want me to put you in touch with them, let me know (via direct e-mail).
