Hi Ron, Thanks for responding. We use Dataload Pro to load users, responsibilities, set up resources, assign groups and roles, set client timezones for resources and profile options and territories...we're a CRM shop (not financials or mfg). We're starting to research the APIs to see which ones can help...territiries is going to be a big win. Dataload Pro has been great...until we upgraded forms with Patch 16. As it turns out (Jonathan at Dataload sent me an email just this AM) there is a postrequisite patch that we installed that disables the use of the ICX Forms Launcher profile option! Our record.fld file is being created elsewhere on the server. We need to work around that. Thanks again for your help, Bob -----Original Message----- From: Mcraney, Ronald [mailto:rdmcrane@bechtel.com] Sent: Friday, October 15, 2004 12:11 PM To: OAUG Net listserver Subject: [OAUGNet]-Re: Alternative to Dataload? Bob, What types of data load, Orders, Inventory Items, JVs, Invoices, POs, Product Group setups ... ADI can do a lot depending on the items and APIs can do some, and Classic can handle a lot of the product setups What type of problems are you seeing with Dataload Pro, it is pretty stable from what I have seen. We've been using Dataload Professional to load all kinds of data through 11i forms. It has been working great for many months. But recently, we changed something in our environment that caused the recordings and playbacks to stop. This is not a Dataload issue, but it has effectively rendered Dataload Pro useless. We have been working with Oracle Support and Dataload Support to resolve the issue, but no one is able to solve it yet. Does anyone know of other competing products/technologies that we could use to replace Dataload? We're in the middle of an aggressive nationwide system rollout schedule and we perform mass data entry every month. Our fallback plan is to use the Dataload Classic software. We're also investigating available APIs. And, in researching the history on the listserve, someone mentioned another tool on http://www.more4apps.com/products.asp Thanks!
