COLLABORATE 06: Technology and Applications Forum for the Oracle Community

The Independent Oracle Users Group (IOUG) (formerly International Oracle Users Group), the Oracle Applications Users Group (OAUG) and Quest International Users Group recently leveraged their collective strengths to host the leading technology and applications forum for the Oracle community — COLLABORATE 06.

The event, which played host to over 5,500 attendees, provided the best practices and user-driven training for Oracle, PeopleSoft and JD Edwards technology and applications from each user group, as well as access to Oracle and the user community at large. Event highlights included a keynote presentation and announcement of new Oracle initiatives by Oracle President, Charles E. Phillips, Jr., an IT Executive Forum hosting more than 150 executives and an Exhibitor Showcase featuring more than 225 IT solution providers.

During the event, each user group hosted individual educational forums:

• The IOUG Forum offered real-world training on Oracle database technologies with sessions focusing on database design and administration, application development, architecture and infrastructure, data warehousing and business intelligence and more. • The OAUG Forum offered Oracle Applications, PeopleSoft, Retek and Siebel users’ perspectives on the expanding reach of Oracle Applications products, services and solutions, including the Oracle E-Business Suite, Project Fusion, application integration, customer relationship management, financials, human resources and more. • The Quest Forum provided educational offerings specific to JD Edwards World, EnterpriseOne and PeopleSoft Enterprise products.
