Keynote Speakers

Jamie Clarke

Jamie Clarke
Canadian Adventurer and National Speaker
Monday, April 24, 2006

On May 23, 1997, national speaker Jamie Clarke became the ninth Canadian to summit Mount Everest. However, the summit of Everest was just the beginning of his exploration. But, after Everest, what’s left? Jamie next ventured a 700-mile camel-back crossing of Arabia’s Empty Quarter, the world’s most desolate and dangerous desert.

You won’t want to miss Jamie’s presentation during COLLABORATE 06, “Secrets of the Desert,” which shares a journey of contrast and perseverance with breath-taking images. During his presentation, you'll find a powerful match with the themes of leadership, mentoring, team building, tenacity and decision making.

His program, laced with laughter, poignant moments, tension and lush illustration, Jamie will challenge you to persevere through obstacles — to live in the now, not in an incurable past or a daydreamed future; to resolve conflict; and to lead others by empowering them to live passion-filled lives.

In addition, Jamie has published his second book, Everest to Arabia, which takes its readers from the summit of Everest to the sands of Arabia. And later this year, with National Geographic, he will release his Empty Quarter adventure documentary. As a professional speaker, Jamie brings inspiration and infectious enthusiasm to any organization. While weaving his inspiring story of dedication and triumph, he demonstrates that we are all adventurers on our own journeys.
