OAUG News
President’s Corner
2008 OAUG President Jan Wagner |
Oracle OpenWorld 2008 is over. COLLABORATE 09: Technology and Applications Forum for the Oracle Community is months away. In the meantime, there are many great opportunities for OAUG members around the world to connect with other users, learn from experts and interact with Oracle representatives by getting involved in the active and vibrant OAUG geographic user group (Geo) and special interest group (SIG) communities.
The OAUG’s Geos and SIGs are member-led groups that serve the grassroots of the Oracle community:
- Geos provide opportunities for Oracle applications users to engage with others in a defined geographic region. Partnerships with international affiliates continue to expand the OAUG’s ability to support Oracle users around the world. OAUG Geos are located throughout the United States as well as in Canada, AsiaPac, Latin America and Europe.
- OAUG SIGs serve as forums for users to explore specific issues, needs and areas of interest within a particular family of Oracle Applications products or within a particular industry. SIGs help participants obtain information and resources to assist them in managing their unique implementations and applications environments.
Geo and SIG activities are open to everyone, and we encourage everyone to get involved and stay engaged.
This is a very busy time of year for the OAUG Geo and SIG communities. Please review the list of upcoming Geo/SIG Meetings in the User Community News section of this edition of OAUG eNews to see what meetings, teleconferences or Webinars are scheduled through the end of 2008. Visit the User Communities page on the OAUG Web site for more information about the OAUG’s Geos and SIGs.
