OAUG News

President’s Corner

2008 OAUG President Jan Wagner

2008 OAUG President Jan Wagner

Elections for the Oracle Applications Users Group (OAUG) 2009 Board of Directors are underway. I invite and encourage every member organization to participate in this very important initiative.

The OAUG Board of Directors fulfills a very important role in setting the strategic direction of the organization and facilitating the development of programs and resources that meet the needs of OAUG members around the world. In addition, as the family of Oracle Applications users has grown significantly over the last few years, the board’s role in expanding the OAUG’s access to and influence with Oracle has also grown. The OAUG strives to have global and broad product representation on the board to ensure that we are meeting these objectives. Please keep these goals in mind when reviewing the list of candidates for the 2009 OAUG Board of Directors.

Key contacts of all OAUG member organizations received balloting instructions, including a list of candidates and candidate biographies, via e-mail on Wednesday, September 17, 2008. Only key contacts of the OAUG member organizations can vote on behalf of their organizations. However, we do encourage all employees of member organizations to provide key contacts with input regarding the 2009 director candidates. If your organization’s key contact has not received information about the 2009 elections process, please have the key contact send an e-mail to elections@oaug.com for assistance.

All votes will be recorded online. The deadline for ballot submissions is 11:59 p.m. U.S. Eastern (New York) time, Wednesday, October 8, 2008.

 — Jan Wagner, OAUG President
