2008 OAUG President Jan Wagner

2008 OAUG President Jan Wagner

President’s Corner

On behalf of the Oracle Applications Users Group (OAUG), I would like to welcome Agile applications users to the OAUG family.

The OAUG has expanded its Oracle Community Integration Initiative to include Agile Software user groups to enable them to quickly incorporate into the Oracle community. The initiative will help to meet the needs of Agile applications users by offering the following benefits and resources:

Part of the OAUG’s mission is to foster greater links among members of the Oracle community, and we look forward to working with Agile applications users. By working together, Oracle-related applications users can increase the impact of our collective voice, connect with Oracle on additional collaborative efforts and further build the applications community. As the Oracle Applications family continues to grow, the OAUG remains committed to supporting new users groups.

Again, welcome Agile applications users.

 — Jan Wagner, OAUG President

The OAUG Knowledge Factory™ Grows With Member Participation

Since the launch of the OAUG Knowledge Factory™ just last month, OAUG members have been tapping into and building upon the resources that it contains. Using Web 2.0 technology, the OAUG Knowledge Factory provides OAUG members with a centralized, dynamic platform for user-submitted content and knowledge sharing.

See what members are saying about the OAUG Knowledge Factory:

I have used many community-driven sites/products and what I have found with the Knowledge Factory by OAUG is the simplicity and all encompassing tools. What I have also found with the Knowledge Factory is the built-in user community access to the entire OAUG user membership. This I found very useful, considering the content and questions on this community site are all driven around Oracle software. I will continue to post and respond on the Knowledge Factory and I would encourage others to do so as well.

In an era of knowledge workers, the Knowledge Factory has provided the ideal platform for sharing global Oracle knowledge. Oracle’s online support portal, MetaLink, is by far superior to its enterprise applications competitors. And, the Knowledge Factory provides a user experience even a dimension beyond MetaLink through interactive discussions, blog posts and comments. In a few short weeks, the Knowledge Factory has become a daily go-to site for Oracle professionals. May I recommend the OAUG Knowledge Factory for all Oracle practioners.

Experience the OAUG Knowledge Factory today.
