President’s Corner

2008 OAUG President Jan Wagner

2008 OAUG President Jan Wagner

As I mentioned in a previous column, while continuing to support existing product lines through Applications Unlimited, Oracle asserts that the “Future is Fusion.”

The OAUG, with its authoritative position as the world’s largest user knowledgebase for Oracle Applications users, is, and will continue to be, the users group to keep you up to date with the most current and comprehensive Fusion Applications and Fusion Middleware information, connections and educational opportunities.

Building on the success of Demystifying Fusion — OAUG’s Three-Step Program, the OAUG Fusion Council is expanding its program for providing ongoing education for the global Oracle user community on the progress and production rollout of Oracle Fusion modules and technology. Watch for announcements on how you can receive regular Fusion-related news, information and education opportunities; communicate with Oracle representatives about Fusion Applications and Fusion Middleware under development; collaborate with the Fusion Upgrade Program Office to provide feedback and participate in beta upgrades; provide feedback and enhancements requests to Oracle; access content to better understand Oracle Fusion and options for roll-out; connect with other global users, and more.

In addition, the OAUG has leveraged its strong relationships with Oracle, other leading users groups and knowledgeable industry leaders to develop a number of exceptional Fusion-related sessions for COLLABORATE 08: Technology and Applications Forum for the Oracle Community. Highlights include:

Visit the COLLABORATE 08 OAUG conference Web site to find the Fusion sessions and activities that are right for you.

As you navigate the path to Fusion, make sure the OAUG is your resource for Fusion information.

Don’t forget to register for COLLABORATE 08 before the early-bird registration deadline on March 13, 2008.

 — Jan Wagner, OAUG President

Loading Data Into Hyperion Applications with Financial Data Quality Management
February 28, 2008
Presenter: Ed DeLise, Finit Solutions

Hyperion Financial Data Quality Management (FDM) is a pre-packaged solution that helps end-users manage the integrity of the data that they load into Hyperion Applications. See a demo of this solution, and learn how you can dramatically increase transparency into both data and the related processes. We will walk through the process by showing a general ledger file along with supplemental data going into Hyperion Financial Management (HFM).
