OAUG News
President’s Corner
2008 OAUG President Jan Wagner
Did you know that people from 35 different countries participated in the OAUG’s educational sessions, networking receptions and other events at last year’s COLLABORATE conference?
That was a great showing from our members and associates from around the world. We hope to see you again this year at COLLABORATE 08: Technology and Applications Forum for the Oracle Community.
Engaging the global Oracle users community in building the knowledgebase of information and solutions for OAUG members continues to be a primary objective for the OAUG. The experiences and best practices that Oracle users have, when harnessed and made available to others, is sure to enhance the capabilities of real Oracle users in their day-to-day use and management of the growing family of Oracle Applications.
The OAUG has formed strong alliances with dynamic Oracle users groups around the world, such as the Australian Oracle User Group (AUSOUG), Japan OAUG (OAUG-J), India OAUG, Israel OUG (ilOUG), LatinOAUG, Netherlands OAUG (OAUG NL), Pakistan OAUG, and others. We have already had the opportunity to participate in a number of educational and networking events with our global partners, and we are exploring additional opportunities for bringing our international members together to connect and learn.
In addition to jointly presented events, the OAUG will be announcing an exciting, contemporary platform for OAUG members to engage with other members around the world. Be sure to join us at the OAUG Annual Meeting of the Members, April 16, 2008, during COLLABORATE 08 for this important announcement.
