OAUG Councils And CommitteesIf you are interested in participating on an OAUG council or committee, please send an e-mail to volunteer@oaug.com or contact the OAUG Membership Department at +1 404.240.0897. Communications CommitteeThe Communications committee guides the development, publication and distribution of messaging related to OAUG objectives, activities, benefits and achievements to the entire Oracle Applications community (both OAUG members and non-members). Customer Support CouncilUnder the auspices of the OAUG Board, the Customer Support Council represents Oracle Applications customers to Oracle Applications Support by:
Education CommitteeThe objective of the Education Committee is to develop, implement and monitor educational offerings, separate from annual conferences, for OAUG members. Fusion CouncilThe objective of the Fusion Council is to represent the growing family of Oracle Applications users and customers (E-Business Suite, PeopleSoft, JD Edwards, Oracle Retail, Siebel, etc.) to Oracle Development in the design, usability and business functionality features of Fusion by:
Geo/SIG CommitteeThe Geo/SIG Committee’s objective is to serve the global interests of OAUG-affiliated groups. The committee supports international, national and regional member companies throughout the world, and strives to provide consistent quality services and support to all affiliated groups regardless of their nature or location. The committee is a vehicle of communication for a major portion of the Oracle Applications user community. As such, the committee works with subcommittee chairs, Geo and SIG coordinators to ensure group participation in providing a forum for the many interests within the user group community. Special Interest Groups (SIGs)SIGs serve as forums to collect and discuss user requirements and interests on specific issues and areas within Oracle Applications. SIGs focus on specific areas of Oracle Applications, working to improve and enhance these areas through group consensus. SIGs represent the interests of the user community as a whole. Contact OAUG for assistance in organizing a new SIG. Geographic Users Groups (Geos)There are regional and local users groups in many areas of the world. They generally conduct meetings more frequently than the semiannual OAUG conferences and may include issues of local concern. Like SIGs, Geos work to identify and discuss local interests as they relate to Oracle Applications. Whereas SIGs may focus on certain aspects of Oracle Applications, Geos represent the interests of application users in specific localities. The interest of Geos may span all Oracle Application areas. Contact OAUG for assistance in organizing a new Geo. Meetings and Conferences CommitteeThe Meetings and Conferences Committee constructs the conference agenda, reviews papers and proposals for training, and organizes all details surrounding the organization and implementation of OAUG conferences. The committee may include multiple subcommittees which address specific areas of conference responsibilities. Members of the committee change with each conference to provide diversity in conference planning and activities. Membership Programs CommitteeThe Membership Programs Committee responds to inquiries from prospective members, provides direction in the performance of membership administrative tasks and enforces membership policy decisions of the Board of Directors. The primary responsibility of the Membership Programs Committee is to represent the best interests of OAUG members and continue to enhance member benefits. Technology CommitteeOAUG Technology Committee Charter (PDF file) The Technology Committee is responsible for the facilitation of development of technology initiatives received from the various committees of OAUG. Those entities requesting such initiatives are responsible for identifying and/or providing the necessary resources to accomplish such. The Technology Committee shall provide prioritization advice to the Executive Committee regarding OAUG technology projects. The Executive Committee will determine ultimate project prioritization and submit to the Board for final approval.
